Rob Krier Drawing Architecture

This line drawing page is full of sketches of the Rauschstrasse House by Rob Krier (born 1938). He is a sculptor, architect and urban designer from Luxembourg.  He is a former architecture professor at Vienna University of Technology and one of the world’s top urban planners.

I am always interested to see the sketching process of successful architects such as Rob Krier. This page next page is titled Sketches on the Theme of the Corner House.  He is famous for this corner building designs.

The drawing below is variations on facade compositions. It is fun to see how these facades are right next to each other on the page and the element of color is added.

  1. The drawings by Rob Krier are amazing works of art. They should be framed and hung in a place where they could be enjoyed daily. The middle drawing of all the buildings is my favorite. The buildings are so detailed, each time you looked at it, you would see something you missed before.

  2. I really enjoyed seeing the different variations of the corner house and seeing the creativity of Rob Krier. It is an inspiration to be able to see how many different ways one can design a building and how each corner house has different features that really make it unique.
