Big Orange Cat Drawing Assistant

Cat plus workDo you have a supervisor that assists you with your art work?  I really enjoy drawing at the house in my little studio room.  I will often have company from our big orange kitty Mr. Leo.  He likes to be part of the action and will plop himself right down where I am working, push the tools off the table and then find a spot to take nap.  I wonder if he would like to give me drawing technique advise on my image. What you think?

  1. His advice would be: Where is the cat? No drawing is complete without a cat in it! 😉

  2. He might be thinking……
you are really good at that! Maybe he wishes he could do that too. But I bet he would be happy with a small bowel of cream.

Are you sure that space is your studio Professor? Mr. Leo appears to think it belongs to him. Notice the look of superiority – he’s thinking, “How many times do I have to tell you, this is MY window. You’re supposed to use the table in the kitchen.”

  4. Hi Stephanie,
I just discovered your blog…and browsed the sample chapter from your book. It looks like exactly the kind of step-by-step help I need! I desperately want to learn how to draw furniture but so far have been a total lost cause. I bought the book and am really looking forward to digging in. Fingers crossed!

    • Great that you bought the book! Hope you got the second edition. Let me know if you did not. I can email you the extra material. Stephanie

      • Yup, it’s the second edition. Can’t wait ’til it arrives in the mail.

      • Great! Let me know if you have any feedback with suggested changes or additions. Always looking for input from people like yourself. Want it to be the best.
        Take care – Stephanie
